PharmD Signal is an independent publisher of educational analyses of clinical literature, operated by PharmD Signal LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. We are a publisher, not a healthcare provider; we do not collect patient health information and are not a HIPAA covered entity.
Email address: when you subscribe (free or paid).
Account/access data: email-based login codes and session tokens (stored only as one-way hashes), and basic login/access logs.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, via standard server logs and cookies, for security and analytics.
Payment information: if you purchase a paid subscription, payment is processed by our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.
To deliver the newsletter and paid content; to authenticate paid access; to operate, secure, and improve the service; to send service and (with your consent) marketing emails; and to comply with law.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use trusted service providers (“subprocessors”) who process data on our behalf: Beehiiv (email delivery), Cloudflare (hosting, security, access tokens), OpenAI (AI processing of article content, not your personal data), HeyGen (video generation, not your personal data), Google (article database via Google Sheets), and our payment processor (billing). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
We keep subscriber data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it. Operational logs are pruned on a rolling basis.
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, access controls, and one-way hashing of login codes and session tokens. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@pharmdsignal.com. If you are in the EU/UK, you have rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection); our lawful bases are your consent (marketing) and performance of a contract (paid content). If you are a California resident, you may request disclosure or deletion of your personal information; we do not sell or share it.
We use a small number of cookies for login/session and security. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
The service is intended for healthcare professionals and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, emailed to subscribers.
