Background Information

Biologics show promise for Crohn's disease with orofacial granulomatosis.

Orofacial granulomatosis (OFG) linked with Crohn's disease (CD) presents distinct clinical challenges and may require specialized treatment strategies. In patients with OFG-associated CD, remission was achieved with infliximab (55%), adalimumab (59%), and other biologics, highlighting the effectiveness of advanced therapies. This study identifies unique CD phenotypes in OFG and supports the use of various biologic and Janus kinase inhibitor therapies, emphasizing the need for dose optimization. Advanced therapies, particularly biologics and JAK inhibitors, show efficacy in treating OFG-associated CD.
