Housebound elderly patients in deprived areas often miss critical long-term condition reviews, leading to poorer health outcomes. Following 83 pharmacy technician visits, medication adjustments were made, falls reduced to zero, quality-of-life scores improved, and unscheduled care decreased. The study shows the feasibility of pharmacy technician-led home visits, highlighting potential implications for expanding pharmacy roles in community care. Limitations include a small sample size and short follow-up period. Pharmacy technician-led home visits can improve health outcomes for housebound elderly patients.
