Background Information

Oliceridine matches sufentanil for pain relief, reduces nausea.

Effective postoperative analgesia with fewer adverse effects can significantly improve patient recovery in intensive care settings. Oliceridine showed non-inferior pain control to sufentanil with significantly less nausea (9.6% vs 24.1%) among postoperative abdominal surgery patients. Oliceridine might be a preferable option for postoperative pain management in AICUs to reduce nausea, though further studies on broader populations may be needed. Oliceridine offers comparable analgesia to sufentanil with less nausea in postoperative care.
