Background Information

Labetalol and magnesium sulfate stabilize blood pressure in cesarean deliveries.

Managing blood pressure during cesarean delivery in patients with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy is crucial for maternal and neonatal safety. The combination of labetalol and magnesium sulfate significantly reduced intraoperative systolic blood pressure variability and improved neonatal Apgar scores compared to labetalol alone. This study supports using labetalol with magnesium sulfate to achieve more stable intraoperative blood pressure and better neonatal outcomes in hypertensive pregnancies. Labetalol with magnesium sulfate offers superior intraoperative blood pressure control and neonatal outcomes in cesarean deliveries for hypertensive pregnancies.
