Oral Aprepitant Versus IV Fosaprepitant: Comparable CINV Control in Practice
This real-world comparison confirms that oral aprepitant and intravenous fosaprepitant deliver similar antiemetic control in highly emetogenic chemotherapy, informing formulary and route-of-administration decisions.

Aprepitant and fosaprepitant are equally effective in real-world chemotherapy settings.
Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting significantly affect patient quality of life and treatment adherence. This study found no statistically significant differences in antiemetic efficacy between oral aprepitant and intravenous fosaprepitant among 136 patients. Fosaprepitant is as effective as aprepitant and can be used when oral administration is not feasible, offering flexibility in antiemetic therapy. Aprepitant and fosaprepitant show similar efficacy in preventing nausea and vomiting in highly emetogenic chemotherapy.
