Ivermectin fails to enhance survival in hospitalized COVID-19 cases.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of ivermectin in improving outcomes for hospitalized COVID-19 patients, a subject of significant debate. Ivermectin did not significantly improve organ support-free days or survival rates in critically or noncritically ill patients with COVID-19. The lack of benefit observed in this randomized trial suggests that ivermectin is unlikely to improve outcomes in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Enrollment was ended due to futility. Ivermectin likely does not improve outcomes for hospitalized COVID-19 patients.
