Idarucizumab achieves full reversal of dabigatran in emergencies.
Dabigatran requires a reversal agent in cases of uncontrolled bleeding or urgent procedures, and idarucizumab offers this solution. Idarucizumab provided 100% reversal of dabigatran's anticoagulant effect, with bleeding cessation in 2.5 hours and procedure initiation in 1.6 hours. This study provides strong evidence for using idarucizumab in urgent settings, although thrombotic events were noted in 6.3% to 7.4% of patients. Idarucizumab effectively reverses dabigatran in emergencies, facilitating quick intervention.
